ROCK THIS! was there to cover the 34th Annual CMJ Music Marathon which took place in NYC from Oct 21st-25th.
It's always an honor to be a part of this Music Festival & Conference where you get to discover tons of new artists from all over the world before everyone else does!
This year CMJ featured over 1,400 live performances in more than 80 of New York City's greatest venues.
This year's lineup included:
The Kills, Gerard Way, The Horrors, Courtney Barnett, Slowdive, Bombay Bicycle Club, Cold War Kids, RAC, Shonen Knife, San Fermin, Dusky, Matthew Dear, Moon Duo, Twin Peaks, Reigning Sound, Pro Era, White Fence, D.D Dumbo, Luluc, Protomartyr, MONEY, Tom Vek, Kate Boy, Cathedrals, The Wytches
and many more…
CMJ also presented over 100 informative conference events featuring renowned speakers, industry roundtables and workshops, an Entertainment Business Law Seminar and College Day. My favorite panels were the International ones that gave priceless advice for Musicians to help get their music across the borders.
Coming soon on ROCK THIS! I will be featuring interviews & Performances from a variety of Artists that attended CMJ. Here are a few that caught my attention & stood out Gerard Way, Nova & The Experience, Money, The Crookes, Buffalo Sunn, Braves, The #1s, Emily Wolfe, Holiday Mountain, & Somebody's Darling
